Authors will visit the classrooms and share their experiences creating books. It's is a fun, educational event funded by your contributions to the DFES PTA. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to help with hospitality for this event including food setup/serving, escorting authors to classrooms and cleanup. The event will run between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm but we need most volunteer coverage between 10:00 am and 11:30 am - that’s when most of the authors need to get to classrooms and also when lunch starts. If you can help, please contact Lisa Weinberg at email@example.com.
DFES will participate in Bike & Roll to School Day as part of SF's Bike & Roll to School Week. Join the fun and volunteer!
WHAT IS BIKE & ROLL TO SCHOOL WEEK?
A San Francisco–wide event that gives children, parents, school staff and community members an opportunity to raise the visibility of biking and rolling — wheelchair, scooter, skates or skateboards — and work together to make our communities safer and more pleasant. It's also a celebration to promote health, safety, physical activity and concern for the environment.
- Hand out cool schwag at the picnic tables
- Supervise and run the Bike Blender
Anyone interested in helping can email Madeline Mann for more details at firstname.lastname@example.org

So, we'll partner with other Aptos student clubs (LaRaza, Black Student Union, Arab/Muslim Club, Gay/Straight Alliance and others) in a celebration of all cultures. Featured performances will include Rahiti Polynesian Dance Company and Xian Yun Chinese dancers. Bring a dish from your culture and join this celebration!
